This study aimed to map the resistance and presence of the dengue virus in Aedes sp mosquitoes in Pinang Kencana Village. This research was observational with a descriptive approach. The samples were mosquitoes bred in the Vector Laboratory of Poltekkes, Ministry of Health, Tanjungpinang, from eggs trapped in ovitraps distributed in the study area. A total of 78 ovitraps were placed inside the house, 45 were positive, while 45 positive ovitraps were placed outside the house out of a total of 84 ovitraps. Ovitrap index numbers outside (57.7%) and inside the house (53.6%) with an overall ovitrap index of 55.6%. The resistance test results using the CDC bottle bioassay method showed that Aedes sp mosquitoes from Pinang Kencana Village were resistant to the pesticide deltamethrin dose of 10 g/bottle with a diagnosis time of 30 minutes with a mosquito mortality percentage of 68.33%. The PCR results for dengue virus in the sample mosquitoes showed no presence of dengue virus in the mosquito samples, both DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4 serotypes.
Rinaldi Daswito, Kholilah Samosir, Mohd. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between blood pressure and cognitive function in patients with hypertension at Community Health Center in Lhokseumawe City. This analytic study with a cross-sectional method employed the consecutive sampling approach from March 17 to April 16, 2021. Cognitive function was examined with Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) questionnaire. Spearman rank test was performed to analyze the data. Among sixty patients who participated in this study, thirty-five patients (58.3%) had stage 1 hypertension, whereas 25 (41.7%) had stage 2 hypertension. There were 25 patients (41.7%) with normal cognitive function, 28 patients (46.7%) with mild cognitive impairment, and seven patients (11.7%) with moderate cognitive impairment. Correlation coefficient demonstrated a positive correlation between blood pressure and cognitive function (r=+0.31, p-value=0.016). Uncontrolled hypertension will be a risk factor for cognitive decline. This study concluded that blood pressure is positively correlated with cognitive decline in hypertensive patients at Community Health Center in Lhokseumawe.
Rani Aprilita, Mulyati Sri Rahayu, Anna Millizia, Yuziani Yuziani ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://www.jurnalpoltekkesmaluku.com/index.php/JKT/article/view/183 Wed, 22 Jun 2022 13:40:10 +0700 Analisis Pelaksanaan Program Antenatal Terpadu pada Masa Pandemi COVID-19 di Puskesmas Tamamaung Kota Makassar https://www.jurnalpoltekkesmaluku.com/index.php/JKT/article/view/216
Integrated antenatal care is a comprehensive and quality antenatal service provided to all pregnant women. It is crucial to understand the behavior of maternity care, especially those related to socio-cultural aspects in certain areas, to know the health impacts for the baby and the mother herself. The study aims to determine the socio-cultural aspects of antenatal care in the coastal area of Mamuju, namely in Karampuang Village and Beru-Beru Village, Mamuju Regency. The subjects of this study consisted of pregnant women as the key informants, community midwives as supporting informants, shamans, and community leaders. The results showed several socio-cultural aspects carried out in antenatal care by the community in the coastal area, relating to certain dietary restrictions, myths related to specific behaviors, and special rituals performed during the pregnancy period. These cultural aspects influenced maternal health positively and negatively. It is necessary to carry out effective communication synergistically and sustainably by health workers to produce changes in attitudes and behavior related to adverse antenatal care with an adaptive approach while respecting the good values in every aspect of the culture of beliefs held by the community.
Ashriady Ashriady, Dina Mariana, Ajeng Hayuning Tiyas, Rizky Febriyanti Supriadi ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://www.jurnalpoltekkesmaluku.com/index.php/JKT/article/view/249 Wed, 22 Jun 2022 13:44:48 +0700 Efektivitas Pendidikan Kesehatan Reproduksi dengan Media Audio Visual terhadap Pengetahuan Remaja tentang Sexual Harassment di SMKN 1 Kota Dumai https://www.jurnalpoltekkesmaluku.com/index.php/JKT/article/view/259
Sexual harassment often occurs among teenagers.
