Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases are a problem found in society, namely the high rate of non-communicable diseases among the elderly and knowledge about the causes of Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM), how to prevent them, factors that trigger non-communicable diseases (PTM). The Saumlaki Midwifery Study Program, Poltekkes Kemenkes Maluku helps detect non-communicable diseases in the community, especially pregnant women who will give birth to a generation that is healthier, more productive and ready to face future challenges towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. The Saumlaki Midwifery Study Program, Poltekkes Kemenkes Maluku aims to increase collaboration between the academic community Saumlaki Midwifery Study Program, Maluku Ministry of Health Polytechnic with the people of Tanimbar Islands Regency to detect non-communicable diseases. The implementation method used was early detection in the form of checking blood pressure, blood sugar, uric acid and cholesterol and health education for 120 pregnant women and the elderly. The results of early detection activities for NCD risk factors received appreciation from the community, with an increase in public knowledge and the capture of NCD risk factors in the Tanimbar Islands Regency area.
