Abstract

Tuberculosis remains a global health problem and the second leading cause of death after HIV. The Halal Thayyiban food concept is a values- and science-based approach that emphasizes the consumption of halal (safe and harmless) and thayyib (good, nutritious, and high-quality) food. Thayyib food not only meets religious standards but also meets safety, hygiene, health benefits, and nutritional balance. This principle aligns with efforts to prevent lung disease through the consumption of highly nutritious foods that can strengthen the immune function of the respiratory tract and repair lung tissue damage caused by pollution. Implementing public education on the role of Halal Thayyiban food in preventing lung disease is a relevant, applicable, and sustainable preventive-promotive strategy for the people of Ambon City. The methods used in this activity are lectures and discussions. This method is considered necessary to facilitate participants' understanding of the concept of Halal Thayyiban food. This nutritional education activity, which emphasizes the concept of halal and thayyiban food in preventing lung diseases such as tuberculosis, is expected to provide participants with in-depth knowledge that preventive measures can be taken by choosing healthy foods
